Second Annual Employment Matters Conference

Summary

Massachusetts APSE  held its second annual “Employment Matters!”  in Worcester at the College of the Holy Cross.   Over 150 participants attended this daylong event.   

Keynote Speaker:  Attendees were treated to an engaging and informative session with keynote speaker Carl Richardson.  Carl currently serves as the ADA Coordinator and Diversity Officer for the Massachusetts State House.  He collaborates with the Executive Brach, Legislature and state agencies that serve the disability community to make the State House fully accessible to all.  He is also the acting Chair for the Boston Disability Commission for the Mayor of Boston and works closely with the Commissioner of the Boston Disability Office to help make Boston more accessible.    As a person with a disability,  Carl shared his experiences and challenges  in regards to education, employment, and all aspects of daily living.

  • State of the State (and the Nation) on Employment of people with Disabilities

    • National APSE National Board President David Hoff brought the audience up to date on National Policy Issues affecting the Employment of Individuals with Disabilities.
