Highlights of the Third Annual Employment Matters Conference

Massachusetts APSE held its third annual “Employment Matters!” Conference in Worcester at the College of the Holy Cross. Over 180 participants attended this day long event.


Keynote Speaker

This years speaker was Rosalie Edes,  Assistant Secretary for the Office of Disability Policy and Programs for the Massachusetts Executive Office of Health and Human Services. In this capacity she oversees the work of four disability agencies in the state, chairs the PCA Work Force Council and oversees the bureau of Transition Planning. As a parent of a young adult son who was born with Down Syndrome she shared with the audience her passion for enhancing disability services for all people with a particular  focus on ensuring high quality community based services. 


Policy Updates

State of the State (and the Nation) on Employment of People with Disabilities- National APSE Board President David Hoff gave  national and state updates on policy issues affecting individuals  with disabilities.
